Wholesale Tropical Plants Section

Has been involved in the plant business for the past seven years. We started our operation in July of 2015 in an extraordinary way. Dr. Srikumar Sinnarajah, owner of D&S True green plants and former Biomedical Scientist at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, was the pioneer of this business. Previously, he was a silent partner in his brother’s transportation company.

During that time, the transportation company was transporting tropical plants from Florida to a Greenhouse in Niagara on The Lake, ON. From here, plants were sourced to IKEA at various locations in the Toronto region. After several deliveries of plants to this greenhouse, the owner of the greenhouse informed us that there is a shortage of tropical plants in Canada.

He then requested Srikumar Sinnarajah, to start a tropical plant business. After extensive research, D&S True Green Plants started the operation by renting a small area of Hunter Road Greenhouses with 75 imported tropical plants. As the business went on to grow, here we are seven years later importing and growing plants in a 56,000 square feet greenhouse in Niagara On The Lake, Ontario.

Offers unique tropical varieties, seasonal flowers, modern containers, and specific stock like 6" Hibiscus Bushes, 10" Sago palms, Ponytail Palms, and Musa Banana plants.
